West Warwick, RI The Arpin Charitable Fund’s Eighth Annual Arpin Strong Golf Tournament/Bob Sullivan and Mark Dearborn Memorial has raised $24,236 for charity.

The Arpin Charitable Fund, also known as Arpin Strong, is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes a humanitarian commitment that is global in scope. Its overarching goal is to collectively advance transformative solutions to our time’s defining social and environmental issues.

Arpin Strong’s board members were thrilled to host the organization’s largest fund-raising event on September 30 at the Jamestown Golf Course. The annual competition aims to raise awareness and charitable investment in the tournament’s primary charity beneficiaries. Funds raised at this year’s event were donated to the Global Institute For Transformation, The Village Link, The Coalition Against Pediatric Pain, A Wish Come True, and Marguerite’s Place.

“We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and friends who continue to support us in our mission,” said Karen Bannon, Vice President. “Since 2013, our golf tournaments have collectively raised over $220,000 for charity.”

Jamestown Golf Course once again hosted the sold-out event. Situated along Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island, the course provided attendees with a beautiful backdrop for a day of friendly competition. Following the tournament, participants enjoyed lunch catered by a local non-profit, Harvest Kitchen. In partnership with Farm Fresh RI, Harvest Kitchen offers culinary job training to underserved youth. Under the guidance of professional chefs, trainees work to create menus using ingredients sourced from local farms and gain hands-on experience preparing and selling their goods.

Arpin Strong wishes to thank all its sponsors, particularly Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses, Citrin Cooperman, Arpin International Group, Schneider Electric, United Better Homes, Courtney International, Mellor Agency, Capital Logistics, A Global Logistics Services Co., and Move One, the event’s top sponsors.
