Auburn-Lewiston Muncipal Airport expanding to serve region

Currently the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport is undergoing renovation/addition for a passenger air terminal which is scheduled to open the spring of 2012 with passenger air-service to follow later in 2012. The project cost is $1 million. In 2013 there will be a completion of runway extension of 1,000 feet. Once the extension of the runway is done there will be a total of 6,000 feet of runway allowing an expected return of scheduled passenger service.. The airport continues to grow with future plans to come.
