Rendering of proposed building

According to Harry Avery, president of Avery Investment Properties, LLC, his firm recently acquired a commercial lot located at 435 Shrewsbury St. The lot has been approved for the construction of a 13,000 s/f professional office building. Construction on the three storey Class A building should begin early 2009.
The lot was part of a larger parcel that was once the site of the former Stevens Walden Tool Company. The original parcel has been subdivided and developed and is now home to Flagship Bank & Trust Company, McDonald's and Fidelity Bank.
Avery believes this location for an office building will be very attractive to tenants because of the high traffic flow of Shrewsbury St. and Rte. 9 as well as its close proximity to the area's best restaurants, Umass Medical Campus and Biotech Park.
Avery said that once the lot became available he did not hesitate purchasing it. Shrewsbury St. is the gateway into Worcester and has a balanced mix of businesses, restaurants and retail stores. When you mention Shrewsbury St., everyone from this area instantly knows where it is. It has tremendous recognition.
Avery knows the city well having been a resident of Worcester all his life. He has been building and developing properties over the past decade and was a former building inspector for the City of Worcester.
Avery is also developing a 12 lot residential subdivision in the Webster Square area of Worcester.
