Beck breaks ground on 100,000 s/f office/whse. for Baer Supply Co.

The developer of a newly planned and approved 100,000 s/f office/warehouse facility that will house the regional sales and warehousing facilities of Baer Supply Company held a ground breaking ceremony on April 22nd to kick off the commencement of construction of the new facility on Pawtucket Ave. in the Rumford section of the city.
Adele Beck, owner of ACB Realty and developer of the property, hosted the event and provided an overview of the project, its impacts on the community and a description of the company that would be occupying the new building. The architect is Alternative Designs, Inc. and ACB is serving as the general contractor.
Baer Supply's president, Scott Zettek, who flew in from Chicago to speak at the event, indicated the company's excitement about occupying the new building, and indicated to the construction team to build this new facility as quickly as possible.

Other dignitaries in attendance at the event included, mayor Joseph Larisa, Michael Saul, interim executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corp., Laura McNamara, executive director of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce, city staff and members of the engineering and design team for the project. It is anticipated that the facility will be ready for occupancy by late summer or early fall of this year.
