Burgess Properties Inc. has brokered a 25,000 s/f ten-year office lease at the Clocktower Business Center located at 330 Lynnway in Lynn and a 13,000 s/f ten-year office lease at 730 Eastern Ave. in Malden.

In the Lynn transaction, the tenant, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Human Services, leased the space as a consolidation of two of its existing regional agency offices - the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Mental Health. Both agencies will occupy the space by this summer.
In the Malden transaction, the tenant, Eliot Community Human Services, leased the space to house agency employees administering its local human services contracts with the state and local cities and towns.

According to Phil Burgess, the sole broker in each transaction, "In their continuing efforts to lower public spending when and where possible, both the Commonwealth of Mass. and Eliot Community Human Services have seized a real opportunity by taking advantage of current office market conditions to save money through consolidation, while significantly upgrading the quality of each agency's work environment at the same time."
