Burke of David G. White negotiates long-term land lease for Lowe's

Tim Burke of David G. White & Associates, Inc. brokered the signing of a long-term ground lease with Lowe's Companies, Inc. for the 18 acre Essex Town Plaza Shopping Center property located on Susie Wilson Rd. The now vacant shopping center was formerly occupied by Ames department store and Grand Union supermarket. Lowe's demolished the shopping center building and broke ground on a new 154,000 s/f Lowe's Home Center last month. This is Lowe's second store in Vermont. Burke represented Lowe's in the ground lease transaction. Don Mace of KeyPoint Partners represented the Landlord, Cobloka Trust. David White did all of Lowe's permit work including securing all local and state Act 250 permits. The project took approximately 18 months to obtain all the necessary permits.
