Construction Coordinators, Inc. (CCI), a commercial builder renowned throughout New England for its expertise in the corporate interiors, restaurant and retail markets, has completed construction of retail stores for Simon & Sons and Vinodivino. Simon & Sons, a fine quality boy's and men's clothing retailer, opened its expanded store at 679 Highland Ave., and Vinodivino, a unique wine retail group with stores in Newton and Brookline, is opening its newest flagship store at 922 Highland Ave.
CCI provided a full range of pre-construction and construction services to help Simon & Sons relocate its store from Newton to Needham. The store previously occupied 3,500 s/f in Newton. CCI provided estimating services to assist with site selection of a larger location at 679 Highland Ave., and worked with Phase Zero Design to build out the 5,100 s/f store.
To re-energize the outdated building, CCI replaced the façade and building signage, a process that required a special town permit and notification to abutters. CCI fully gutted the interior space that was previously a party store. The new space features a high ceiling with spiral HVAC duct work and a palette of earth tones, dark wood, and slate blue accent walls for added interest. Carpeting and contemporary light fixtures complete the elegant look. CCI delivered the new store in just 60 days.
"CCI was terrific to work with on this project, coordinating every detail from start to finish and ensuring that the project met its target completion date," said Paul Simon, owner of Simon & Sons. "CCI made the process easy for me, as I focused on running my business and a moving sale. The end result is a beautiful store that will help me serve my customers for years to come."
CCI constructed Vinodivino's third store in Needham, the largest location for the wine retailer that also has stores in Newton and Brookline. Vinodivino selected CCI to build-out the 1,000 s/f flagship Needham location after the firm completed the Brookline store in 2010.
