Boston, MA Core Investments, Inc., a quarter-century-old real estate investment and development company, has released its 2024 fall program of music, food, and events at The LOT: the second annual lineup of activities representing Core Investment’s commitment to the emerging On the Dot neighborhood in South Boston.

Events are held on The LOT, an outdoor event space adjacent to the popular, two-year-old Cannonball Cafe, at 383 Dorchester Ave. The LOT is a large gathering space on 21 acres of formerly industrial land along the west, or inland, side of Dorchester Ave., which is being planned by Core Investments in phases of mixed-use development adjacent to Andrew Square along the MBTA’s Red Line.

This year’s events include regular weekly music, entertainment and food-oriented events on Thursdays and weekends and multiple other themed events, including movie nights, Halloween and Oktoberfest events, a farmers’ market, and fun for children.

The lineup for 2024:

• Movie Nights are Thursdays, July 18 to Sept. 12, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

• Farmers Forge, Saturdays, June 22 to Sept. 28, 9 a.m.-Noon.

• Sunset Socials, Thursdays, July 11 to Sept 5, 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

This year’s events grow from about a dozen 2023 fall events and extend from the previous week’s Car Show on The LOT through summer and fall, concluding with a Holiday & Christmas Market in early December. More than 5,000 local residents and visitors attended last year.

“The LOT is another piece of our activation and growing recreational choices in the heart of the emerging On the Dot neighborhood, continuing and running through the fall,” said Michael Cahill, senior vice president of development of Core Investments. “We are programming a variety of events for families and individuals for our neighbors and friends and visitors, and we hope to see you there again soon!”

Soft drinks, beer, wine and coffee will be served at most events, and food trucks will join for some as well. The Cannonball Cafe, adjacent to The Lot is open daily.

These events will be weather-dependent, and changes will be announced on the On the Dot Instagram page.
