Costin, Hart, Johnson, Gauthier and Gomez open Canal 5 Studio

Canal 5 Studio LLC, an architecture, planning and interior design firm, opened early this year to integrate the art of architecture with the science of high performance built environments. Canal 5 Studio's mission is to create value for its clients through design that increases productivity, optimizes performance and enhances quality of life. The founding five members of Canal 5 Studio include: Patrick Costin, AIA, LEED AP; Timothy Hart, AIA, LEED AP; and Jessica Johnson, AIA, LEED AP; James Gauthier, AIA, LEED AP; Lodrys Gomez, architectural and interior designer.
Together they bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and award winning design talent to the practice of innovative and high performance design. Canal 5 Studio LLC is active in many local organizations such as the Portland Society of Architects, the Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Creative Portland Corp.
While formerly at Harriman Architects + Engineers, the founders of Canal 5 Studio played a creative role in many of Portland's signature buildings such as InterMed Marginal Way, Maine Heart Surgical Associates and the new headquarters for MaineHealth as well as many other projects throughout Maine and northern New England.
