Dave's Fresh Mktpl. opens at WS Dev.'s Crossing at Smithfield
Dave's Fresh Marketplace is now open at the Crossing at Smithfield. The regional grocer moved into a 36,000 s/f space formerly occupied by Linens 'N' Things. Dave's Fresh Marketplace has established a reputation for quality products and superior customer service. This quality service dates back to 1969 when Dave Cesario opened a small roadside fruit and vegetable stand originally called Dave's Fruitland. Dave's has grown into one of the largest independent grocery chains in R.I.
Mark Roberts, senior vice president of leasing, WS Development, said, "In the tight New England market, the Linens vacancies have created an outstanding opportunity for great tenants such as Dave's to expand. These opportunities are being quickly filled in the few locations we have across the WS Development portfolio."

Now what? As the year comes to a close, the state of retail is always in the news. The answers vary greatly depending on who in the various related industries you ask, each offering a unique lens on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
