Lowell, MA Greater Boston Commercial Properties, Inc. has completed the sale of 89 Appleton St. for $2.15 million. Tyler DeWolfe and Ben Gatti of Greater Boston Commercial Properties were the sole brokers in the transaction, representing the seller and procuring the buyer.
Originally constructed in 1893 as the Lowell Post Office, the historic 26,963 s/f property was later restored and converted into the Lowell Juvenile Court. Located on a prominent corner lot in downtown, the building features an iconic clock tower, granite staircases, wrought iron railings, decorative fireplaces, dual elevators, and a rare sallyport drive-in door. The buyer, Casa Cristiana De Restauracion Y Adoracion Inc., plans to renovate the property into the church’s new location.
