S. F. Limited Liability Company has purchased 39 Enterprise Dr., (formerly LaValley Lumber/New England Building Materials), a 53,459 s/f commercial building on 6.76 acres located in the Enterprise Development District.
The property, built in 2007 and once used as a building materials warehouse and showroom, is being renovated and will soon be occupied by Tube Hollows International, a world leader in precision seamless tubing; deep-hole drilling, trepaning, tube conditioning, borcentric tubing, honing, grinding and turning. Tube Hollows serves the medical, oil and gas industry and automotive industry.
Tube Hollows is a Maine based manufacturing company that was spun off from Dearborn Precision in Fryeburg when Dearborn was sold last August to Britain-based Hunting, PLC. Tube Hollows was founded by former Dearborn owners and employees.
According to general manager David Morse, Tube Hollows will bring 30 plus manufacturing jobs to Windham. Most of the Tube Hollows International employees will make the move from Fryeburg. Morse expects to hire additional employees for high tech positions, including mechanical engineers, machine operators, deep-hole drilling specialists and maintenance staff.
