Boston, MA According to Fort Point Associates (FPA), a Tetra Tech company, Talya Moked, LEED AP BD+C, has joined the firm as practice area lead, expanding FPA’s planning and permitting capabilities for complex urban development and institutional projects throughout Greater Boston and New England.
Moked brings more than 13 years of experience shaping the regulatory strategy behind some of Greater Boston’s most visible real estate and infrastructure initiatives. Her private development portfolio encompasses more than 15 million s/f and $9 billion in value, anchored by Dorchester Bay City and Seaport Square, two of the city’s largest mixed-use districts, while her institutional planning work includes Northeastern University’s recent 2025–2035 Institutional Master Plan, as well as Institutional Master Plans for Berklee College of Music and Franciscan Hospital for Children. Across her work, Moked has provided strategic guidance as decisions about program, phasing, housing, and capital priorities were still taking shape, helping align those choices with Article 80, MEPA, and other local and state requirements before they became fixed.
As practice area lead, Moked will help shape FPA’s continued growth, deepen client relationships, and mentor the next generation of staff. Her addition gives clients a broader planning and permitting perspective at the front end of complex projects, pairing her recent work with FPA’s established strengths in environmental review, waterfront development, Chapter 91, urban planning, and coastal resilience. The firm’s expanded capacity positions FPA for a larger role in complex projects reshaping neighborhoods and districts across the region.
“Talya’s experience is a natural next step in FPA’s continued growth, helping us expand our reach and take on increasingly complex projects,” said Jamie Fay, president of Fort Point Associates. “Her work spans a different mix of projects and clients, bringing new opportunities and perspectives to the practice. She complements the knowledge and relationships already within our team, and there’s a lot we can learn from one another.”
“I’ve spent much of my career working on ambitious projects with a lasting impact on the places around them,” said Moked. “What drew me to FPA was the opportunity to play a larger role in shaping not only the work itself, but the practice behind it. I’m excited to help guide FPA’s growth, the kinds of projects we pursue, and how we serve our clients. Being part of Tetra Tech offers an incredible depth of expertise to draw from as we do that.”
