Gerlach elected AIAri president

Rhode Island's chapter of the American Institute of Architects have elected Cynthia Gerlach, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, as the 2010 AIAri president.
Gerlach has been very active in the AIAri chapter for over eight years and has served on numerous boards and committees throughout that time, including the board of directors, representative for state and local government affairs, and committee on the environment.
Gerlach, as an associate of RGB, has a wide range of experience in her 20 plus year career. She recently served as project manager for two renovation projects completed at R.I. College - the Paul V. Sherlock Center for Disabilities, and the STEM I - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics project. In addition, Gerlach is project manager for the new RIPTA Para-transit facility, currently under construction, and two new office buildings currently in design; one of which is the Intermodal Business Center of R.I. which is striving for LEED Gold certification.
