Green Assoc./LEED AP Study Sessions begin Feb. 1: Also annual members meeting Feb. 9, register by Feb. 4

The RI Green Building Council kicks off the New Year with monthly educational seminars for LEED Accredited Professionals, Green Associates and others, but especially those who need to complete their 15-30 hours of credential maintenance. Interactive onsite webinars begin mid January. The RIGBC is also planning its 2nd Annual Members Meeting on Feb. 9th at Fidelity Investments - a LEED Silver certified building in Smithfield.

Green Associate/LEED AP Study Sessions

For anyone pursuing the nontechnical Green Associate professional credential, a series of study sessions will be offered to help you prepare for the exam. The basis of the content is the material covered in the LEED Core Concepts and Strategies workshop or e-book (available online at the USGBC website). Supplemental materials will be provided; case studies included. Individuals pursuing the new LEED AP+ (specialty) designation will need mastery of the Core Concepts material.

Date: Tuesday, Feb. 1st followed by 2 consecutive Tuesdays 4:30PM-6:30PM

*nonmembers can apply $50 toward chapter membership

Second Annual Members Meeting

Members and their guests are invited to join the RIGBC for a networking reception with food, drink and a celebration of 2010 achievements as well as the leaders behind Chapter successes. Plans include a pre-meeting videoconference with Green Building Certification Institute/U.S. Green Building Council representatives to answer questions about LEED registered projects. Building tours of Fidelity's stunning LEED Silver facility will be conducted by representatives from the project team. Owners and project teams of LEED-certified buildings in Rhode Island will be acknowledged by way of our LEED Project Profiles-if you haven't yet completed one, please contact us right away!
Members of the new administration have been invited, including Governor Lincoln Chafee. Nonmembers are welcome.
