Westborough, MA Grossman Development Group (GDG) has acquired Bay State Commons, a mixed-use 261,672 s/f development. The Roche Bros.-anchored outdoor lifestyle center abuts a two-acre town park and features a variety of dining, shopping, health and wellness offerings, including Boston Interiors, Reliant Medical, Boston Ski & Tennis, Ted’s Montana Grill and Panera Bread.

“This property has enormous potential to create a compelling downtown destination and gathering point for Westborough and the surrounding communities,” said Jeremy Grossman, principal of GDG. “Our company excels at curating sustainable merchandising and improving the customer experience in public spaces, which will be a terrific complement to existing downtown programming.”

GDG, and the Baystate Westborough LLC partnership including Mark Reardon, acquired the shopping center and plans significant investment in property improvements, including new sidewalks, upgraded landscaping, signage, and community-focused events. The acquisition of Bay State Commons continues GDG’s portfolio expansion focused on grocery-anchored value-add properties in communities.

Bay State Commons is positioned between Boston and Worcester at the intersection of Rte.’s 30 and 135. Westborough is one of the most desirable regional communities to live and work and has emerged as an important hub for office development.

The property retail leasing is represented by Todd Alexander at Kelleher & Sodowsky.
