JLL expands leasing team with addition of Plaisted

Boston, MA According to JLL, Alex Plaisted has joined the firm as a managing director in its suburban Boston leasing group. Plaisted will focus on advising tenant and landlord clients across the Central 128 market, where he has spent more than two decades completing some of the region’s most significant leasing transactions.

“Alex has spent 20 years building the kind of client relationships and market knowledge that you simply cannot replicate overnight,” said Matt Daniels, executive managing director at JLL. “We have been growing our suburban leasing platform deliberately, and adding someone with his depth in the Central 128 market is a meaningful addition to an already strong team. We are very excited to welcome him to the team.”

Plaisted brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining JLL, he spent two decades at CBRE, where he built a well-regarded practice advising local and national clients on real estate strategy, portfolio planning, and transaction execution across the suburban office and life science markets.

Over the course of his career, Plaisted has completed more than 750 transactions totaling over 8 million square feet, working with a wide range of tenants and landlords across Greater Boston and around the country. He was recognized by the Commercial Brokers Association as a Suburban Deal of the Year nominee in 2015 and winner in 2016, reflecting his ability to structure complex and creative transactions on behalf of his clients.

Plaisted’s client experience spans both sides of the transaction. On the tenant side, he has represented companies including Nvidia, Voyager Therapeutics, Valo Health, FORMA Therapeutics, United Therapeutics, and Fresenius Medical Care North America, among others. On the landlord side, he has worked with owners including Healthpeak, King Street Properties, ManuLife, Phase3 Real Estate, and Anchor Line Partners.
