Kaplan Construction's Peck recognized as Community Engagement Champion by Brookline CDC

Nathan Peck

Brookline, MA According to Kaplan Construction, Nathan Peck, president of the firm, was recognized as a Community Engagement Champion by Brookline Community Development Corp. (BCDC) at its annual fundraising gala.

The event celebrated individuals and organizations making meaningful contributions to affordable housing and community development in the city while raising funds to support the nonprofit’s ongoing efforts to develop, own, and maintain safe and well-managed affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households in the community.

Peck has partnered with BCDC on a pro bono basis since 2022 across a range of preservation and renovation efforts. His work has included cost estimating, site evaluations, and construction planning, helping advance complex affordable housing projects and navigate unforeseen challenges throughout the process.

“Working with Brookline CDC on these projects has been incredibly meaningful,” said Peck. “As someone who lives and works in Brookline, I’ve seen firsthand how important these initiatives are, and it’s been rewarding to help support projects that directly impact the community I’m part of.”

In addition to Peck, BCDC honored Michael Jacobs as the Affordable Housing Champion and Laura Bradford as the Volunteer Champion. Proceeds from the gala supported BCDC’s work, including providing up to $5,000 in emergency rental assistance per qualifying family, advancing energy-efficient upgrades to existing properties, pursuing new affordable housing opportunities, and advocating for housing policies at the local and state levels.
