Kent Washington Association of Realtors raises $2,000 for South County Habitat for Humanity in Shannock

Participants at the Kent Washington Association of Realtors First Annual Home Run 5K Run/Walk raised $2,000 for South County Habitat for Humanity in Shannock. Under the leadership of Home Run 5K chair, Jennifer Bove, the association was able to present a check to Habitat on October 12th, during the Association's Annual Election, Installation, Meeting & Recognition Night at the Quonset O Club. "We had such a great time planning and organizing the race!" says Bove. "We are looking forward to the bigger and enhanced 2012 Home Run 5K. Planning has already begun! " Seventy-four runners / walkers turned out for the September 25th event, held at the Quonset O Club. Also contributing to its success were six Premier Sponsors, two Gold Sponsors, eight Silver Sponsors and twenty-four Bronze Sponsors, plus six Patron Sponsors. The Home Run 5K was followed by a barbeque for the participants.
