MacPherson of Penobscot Investment named shareholder and elected director

Boston, MA Penobscot Investment Management has named Colleen MacPherson, CFA, CDFA shareholder and has been elected a director of the company. She will continue to oversee the firm’s research efforts to identify opportunities in equities, fixed income, and other asset classes while continuing to service clients as portfolio manager. 

MacPherson joined the firm in 2016. Prior to joining Penobscot, she was a fixed-income product manager at Eaton Vance and a banking specialist at Brown Brothers & Harriman.

MacPherson holds an MBA from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. MacPherson was a National Collegiate Scholar and graduated cum laude. She has appeared on Yahoo Finance TV as a market analyst. MacPherson has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and is pursuing the Certified Financial Planner certification. She has served as board member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Marathon Challenge and on the Dana-Farber Leadership Council. She has run several marathons on behalf of Dana-Farber as a high-level fundraiser. MacPherson is a member of the Boston Business Associates’ Club, The Boston Club, Boston Estate Planning Council, and the CFA Society Boston. MacPherson is also a mentor for the Babson College Fund, through which students manage a portion of the Babson College endowment.
