Markham + DeRentis completes $650,000 sale of Wolcott Eco Office

March 13, 2014 - Rhode Island
Markham + DeRentis Associates of Residential Properties Ltd. completed the $650,000 sale of the award-winning Wolcott Eco Office.
Originally constructed in 1890 as a turn of the century jewelry factory, the building became an electronics supply warehouse in 1941 and was eventually purchased by John Tabor Jacobson's JTJ Investments in 2006.
Under Jacobson, the structure underwent a full gut rehab before emerging as Rhode Island's first-ever net zero commercial building. To be considered "net zero" a property must be fully sustainable, producing all of its energy from its own renewable sources.
As a result of the Wolcott Eco Office project, JTJ Investments was selected as the recipient of the 2009 Senator John H. Chafee Conservation Leadership Award.
Specializing in matching clients with the right property, Markham + DeRentis Assoc. utilized its extensive network of local professionals to bring in TRAC Builders, Inc. as a potential buyer for this one of a kind listing.
As one of Residential Properties' top real estate teams, Markham + DeRentis provides in-depth knowledge of the local real estate market to assist both buyer's and seller's in completing transactions of condominium, residential, and commercial properties.
