McMahan's 25 years of architectural experience includes planning and design services for higher education clients, non-profit institutions and real estate developers throughout New England and New York. Alongside the firm's market sector principals, McMahon will lead the programming and design phases, manage the design team, and coordinate, communicate and control all professional service activities that are necessary for each project's successful completion.
"I am very impressed by the Fletcher Thompson culture, their emphasis on design through client focus, and the strength of their interdisciplinary architecture and engineering practice"," said McMahan, as he comes on board after a year of collaborating with Fletcher Thompson principals on a variety of projects and initiatives.
McMahan received bachelor degrees in fine arts and architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he has participated in RISD design studios and juries over the years, most recently in the fall of 2011 as a Visiting Critic in the Department of Interior Architecture.
