Melrose Cooperative Bank hires Lau as a business development officer

Melrose, MA Melrose Cooperative Bank has hired Bill Lau to the commercial group. As a business development officer, Lau is responsible for developing new loan and deposit relationships for local businesses and professionals while providing them with a superior customer experience.

“Bill is a valuable addition to our commercial lending group and we believe his experience and local expertise will be great resources to entrepreneurs and local businesses within our community,” said Jeff Jones, Melrose Cooperative Bank president and CEO. “Bill’s involvement will help to strengthen our commercial lending sector and his knowledge will further enhance the lending solutions we can offer our customers.”

Lau began his career in high school as a teller at US Trust. He continued his banking career at Citizens Bank and Fleet Bank while attending Bentley University, where he earned his Economics and Finance degree. Lau comes to Melrose Cooperative Bank from TD Bank with 18 years of retail banking experience and 13 years of real estate experience. He resides in Andover, MA with his wife and three children.

Founded on April 4, 1890, Melrose Cooperative Bank remains a community bank dedicated to providing financial resources and support for the community. Products and services include residential mortgages, consumer loans, commercial real estate and construction loans, retirement plans and full-service banking.
