The Sandy Point Farm is one of the state’s top equestrian legacy properties. Once a cornerstone of the Vanderbilt Estate, this property encompasses over six acres of pastures. Designed by architect A.S. Walker and built in stages between 1860 and 1902, the estate has long been revered for its prominence in horse breeding and social gatherings. The 30,000 s/f stables feature 24 stalls, a 15,000 s/f  indoor riding arena, and multiple cupolas crowning the 60-ft.-high riding ring.

“I’m overjoyed to have helped our clients in the passing on of this magnificent estate,” said Chace. “The equestrian sphere is one I hold close, so this sale is one that I take pride and honor in being a part of.”

“It is a great distinction to have represented the owners in this legendary sale,” said McCollough. “Sandy Point Farm is a crown jewel in the prestigious equestrian history of Rhode Island. The Vanderbilt name is renowned for sophistication and luxury, and I believe the new owners will carry on its illustrious backstory.”

“I am so appreciative that my buyers allowed me to assist them in this impressive property,” said Son-Cundy. “It’s not every day you are able to be in the presence of such a classic family name in the Vanderbilts and their former estate, so I am thrilled my clients trusted me in the process.”
