A Business Enterprise Value Anthology

Addressing a sometimes controversial topic, the Appraisal Institute's newest book is intended to assist real estate appraisers in valuing real property with a business component.
The second edition of "A Business Enterprise Value Anthology," just published by the nation's largest professional association of real estate appraisers, is a collection of articles written since the first edition of the book was published 10 years ago. It presents differing viewpoints on this controversial issue and is intended to help appraisers develop their own methods for addressing business enterprise value in their appraisal assignments.
The updated edition, compiled by editor David Lennhoff, MAI, SRA, contains 27 original and reprinted articles on business enterprise value in general and on valuing the tangible and intangible assets in special property types such as hotels and motels, nursing facilities, convenience stores, billboards and shopping centers. The book concludes with a case law update summarizing recent court rulings related to these topics.
"This collection of articles from various authors with differing points of view presents all sides of this somewhat controversial topic and will help appraisers develop their own methods for addressing the separation of tangible and intangible assets in their professional work," Appraisal Institute president Joseph Magdziarz, MAI, SRA, wrote in the book's foreword, adding, "This new second edition will help bring appraisers up to date on this important issue."

The second edition of "A Business Enterprise Value Anthology" (ISBN: 978-1-935328-20-9) is a 328-page soft cover book. It is available for $60 ($50 for Appraisal Institute members) at http://www.appraisalinstitute.org/store/p-273-a-business-enterprise-value-anthology-second-edition.aspx
