New England Women in Real Estate (NEWiRE) has been promoting the advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry for the past thirty years. Over 400 members strong, NEWiRE celebrates three memorable decades of achievement. NEWiRE has made great strides from when this organization was founded in 1981 by women who had the vision to form an organization to support and promote the role of women in commercial real estate. In celebration of our 30th anniversary, we have been recognizing our past leadership and acknowledging the talents, accomplishments and leadership skills of our members and their contributions to the real estate industry.
NEWiRE honors its outstanding members at the Annual Achievement Awards dinner. Each year, NEWiRE recognizes the unique talents and accomplishments of selected NEWiRE members. Members are honored for their contributions and achievements that advance NEWiRE's goals and objectives. This year's dinner will be held at the Fairmont Copley Plaza on Wednesday, April 25th. NEWiRE recognizes members in six categories: Leadership; Entrepreneur of the Year; Esprit de Coeur; Professional Service; Suzanne King Public Service and Networking. This year's Achievement Awards dinner will also be a special celebratory event for NEWiRE's 30th anniversary. Janet Wu, news anchor and reporter for WHDH-TV, NBC Boston will be the emcee at the dinner and mayor Thomas Menino will be participating in the celebration.
