NH CIBOR had one of their most successful events on August 5th at Birchwood Vineyards in Derry. There were 25 sponsors plus silent auction donations. $20,000 was raised for NH CIBOR Cares, the charitable arm of NHCIBOR whose mission is to help various organizations and individuals in need during emergency situations. There were about 150 attendees and it seemed like people were happy to get out and see other people again. The hosts have a beautiful setting, and the food was incredible. Recognized at the event were the Realtor of the Year Christian Stallkamp, Affiliate of the Year Barbara Lizotte, and Honor Society Member Gerry O’Connell.

Christian is a seacoast area broker for The Boulos Co. and on the boards of NH CIBOR and NECPE (New England Commercial Property Exchange). He was past president of both organizations and The Boulos Co. Broker of the Year and Top Producer in 2020. Christian’s work ethic and professionalism have given him a great reputation as one of the best Realtors in New Hampshire and he is most deserving of this Realtor of the Year award.

Barbara is an agent of Tobey & Merrill Insurance of Hampton and has been an affiliate member since 2014. She was president of the Hampton Rotary Club. Focused on commercial insurance, Barbara stays current and informs our members about the changing insurance world and its effects on commercial real estate. Her many volunteer hours for our organization and others are very appreciated and she deserves the honor of Affiliate of the Year.

Gerry is a director at KW Commercial Coastal Realty in Portsmouth and past president of NH CIBOR, past president of NHAR (New Hampshire Association of Realtors) and Realtor of the Year in 2016. For the 14th consecutive year he is an NHAR Honor Society recipient, given in recognition of board participation among its members so that they will be better educated to serve their clients. To qualify members must obtain 150 points in a year. This year Gerry had the highest number of points. With one more year of 150 points Gerry will qualify as a lifetime member of the NHAR Honor Society.

In other news, the seacoast marketing meeting (third Friday of the month) has now moved to Insurcomm’s building at 290 Heritage Ave. in Portsmouth. Both live and Zoom participation can happen there. The statewide meeting (fourth Wednesday of the month) at 166 S. River Rd. in Bedford is in person only. A new monthly marketing meeting (second Friday of the month) for the North Shore of Massachusetts will be held on September 10 at the offices of Dalton & Finegold, 34 Essex St. in Andover, Mass. Please contact NH CIBOR if you are interested in sponsoring the breakfast for a future North Shore meeting.

Joe Friedman is the 2021 president of NH CIBOR, Bedford, NH and is the founder of Skyline Realty, Durham, NH.
