O'Connor joins Citizens Bank as sr. vice president

James O'Connor Jr. has been appointed senior vice president and senior relationship manager in Citizens Bank's commercial real estate finance department. O'Connor is a 27-year veteran banking executive who has worked for First Union, Fleet Financial Group, SouthTrust Bank and First Horizon National Corp. He most recently was a senior vice president at Regions Financial Corp. O'Connor received his bachelor's degree in marketing from Florida State University. He is a visible community ambassador, volunteering with such groups as the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, The Music School in Providence, the R.I. Zoological Society, and various other professional organizations.
