Peabody & Smith Realty leases 10,000 s/f

The Department of Veterans Affairs has entered into a lease for an expanded clinic location consisting of almost 10,000 s/f at Mt. Eustis Commons at 260-262 Cottage St.
The owner of Mt. Eustis Commons, AHEAD, is a non-profit organization that provides affordable housing, financial education and other similar initiatives. Mike Claflin, executive director of AHEAD said, "We are pleased that the VA has chosen this location to expand their clinic. We are looking forward to working with them. Construction of the new clinic space as well as reconfiguring the upper parking lot to meet the needs of the VA patients and our Beattie House residents will begin almost immediately."
Mt. Eustis Commons consists of office space for a number of area business' and non-profit organizations. It is adjacent to the Beattie House, an affordable housing complex for seniors also owned by AHEAD.
