Powers & Company represents lessor in 47,000 s/f lease to Whole Foods

Powers & Company has leased the former Star Market on Washington St. to Whole Foods. Whole Foods which operated down the street for years in a former Bread & Circus location now occupies over 47,000 s/f of space. The new store added a gelato and café bar, a walk up window for take-out prepared foods, and a community room. The renovations to the building were completed within the existing footprint of the former market, however the interior and exterior of the building and the site has undergone a complete renovation. Entrances and exit have been revamped, sidewalks around the building were extended, and extensive landscaping and outdoor patios were added. Scott Black of The Dartmouth Company represented the tenant. Powers & Company represented the landlord, Wellesley plaza llc. There is approximately 2,200 s/f still available in the pad building formerly occupied by Rite Aid. Powers & Company exclusively represents landlords throughout the greater Boston market.
