Presby Construction breaks ground

According to CB Richard Ellis, Garnet Hill, a multi-channel retailer specializing in upscale apparel and home décor, has broken ground on a new photo studio. Roger Dieker from CB Richard Ellis' Manchester office and Kevin Bender from CB Richard Ellis' corporate headquarters in Los Angeles represented Garnet Hill in negotiating the long-term built-to-suit lease. The construction cost is approximately $500,000.
The proposed 7,800 s/f photo studio, located on 13-acres at 1294 Main St. is five miles from Garnet Hill's existing corporate headquarters in Franconia.
"We are very excited to continue the expansion of our creative and photographic work in New Hampshire. Our current photo studio in Littleton was our first major foray into in-house creative. In three years we have outgrown the space forcing us to depend more on less efficient, more costly New York studios," said Russ Gaitskill, Garnet Hill's president and CEO.

Presby Construction is the general contractor overseeing the project. Trevor Presby, principal at Presby Construction, said his goal for this project was to ensure Garnet Hill's operations stay in New Hampshire. The target date for completion of the project is July 1.
Additionally, Garnet Hill made the decision to move pre-media in-house in 2007, which resulted in five new positions.
Bender of CB Richard Ellis began working with Garnet Hill in 2007 to discuss its rapid growth and mounting need to expand. Bender referred the assignment to Dieker in CB Richard Ellis' Manchester office in order to provide a more local, personalized service.
