According to Jed Heller, president of the The Providence Group, LLC, a Massachusetts-based full service hospitality management company, the company has been engaged to manage The Emerson Inn by the Sea, a historic "Baby Grand Hotel" located on Cape Ann.
The 36-room Inn recently completed extensive restorations to reflect the full ambiance of the quaint New England inn located beside Pigeon Cove on the Atlantic Ocean.
The hotel was re-named in 1965 after its most famous guest, Ralph Waldo Emerson, who frequently vacationed at the Inn and was said to have found poetic inspiration in the calm, coastal setting. The Inn is a member of the Select Registry of Distinguished Inns of North America and is recognized as an Historic Hotel of America by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. With fine dining and a full complement of amenities, the Emerson Inn remains a popular vacation and tourist destination as well as a comfortable setting for business meetings, weddings and conferences.
The Providence Group will provide hands-on management of all facets of the Emerson Inn's operations. Heller said, "It's a pleasure to be involved with a thriving property with such historical significance. We're looking forward to a vibrant tourism season."
