Susan Howard and Jim White of U. S. Properties, Inc. sold the former restaurant, The Cabin, located at 100 Shore Rd. for $540,000. Jim Meyer of Black Point Real Estate represented the buyer.
The Cabin was initially established in 2005. The seller, Clean Slate LLC, sold the restaurant to Norman Renaldi II of Old Lyme. Before then, the property was operated for many years as The Silo.
Built on .71 acre, the building has 3,010 s/f with 2,170 s/f on the first floor and 840 s/f two-bedroom apartment on the second floor. The restaurant has a total seating capacity of 84 patrons. The new owner will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a full service bar. The name of the restaurant will be Clams.
The seller was represented by attorney Edward Cassella from the law firm Cloutier & Eddy of Old Saybrook. The buyer was represented by attorney David Markowitz from the law firm of Markowitz and Mawhinney of Bloomfield.
