Jewett Construction Co., Inc. recently broke ground on Jewett Square, a new retail mini mall located on Rte. 27. The project, phase two of a three phase redevelopment of the site, includes the demolition of existing on-site structures and construction of a new ground up 4,200 s/f mall with block and stucco façade.
"This is the latest in our ongoing efforts to both revitalize the community and create jobs," said company president Craig Jewett. "My roots are here so I have a vested interest in contributing to the area's growth."
Jewett Square will house two to three distinct retail spaces, including a 1,600 s/f Subway sandwich shop scheduled to open the third week of June.
Subway owners and local seacoast residents Halil and Melissa Ozkurt are looking forward to joining the Raymond Community. "We're excited to be part of this new building opportunity," Melissa Ozkurt said, "One that will allow us to build a fantastic looking store featuring the latest decor, menu and technology options available."
