Tractor Supply Company recently broke ground on its new $3.1 million location at 404 Talcottville Rd. On site were Brian Gesell, WR Newman; Wayne Schneider; Shaun Gately, Town of Vernon; George Apel, Mayor of Vernon; Mark D'Addabbo, New England Retail Properties; Bill Bresleau; Charlie Bardes; and Frank Kaplan.
Tractor Supply Co. based in Nashville, Tenn. is in the process of building its 9th Connecticut store on Rte. 83. The building consists of a 19,097 s/f store and a 15,000 s/f outdoor display area. It is located next to Aldi's Supermarket, Spare Time Bowling Alley & Flooring America. Tractor Supply joins a retail area which starts north of this site and stretches south to the Vernon Circle shopping centers including Price Chopper, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Staples, Stop & Shop, Kmart, Harbor Freight Tools and many more. Mark D'Addabbo, president of New England Retail Properties, Inc., a Wethersfield, Conn.-based real estate development and brokerage company, is responsible for the land acquisition, lease negotiations with Tractor Supply and the construction of the building.
W.R. Newman, a Nashville, Tenn.-based company is serving as the general contractor for the development. Financing was provided by Mary Meehan of PeoplesBank in Holyoke, Mass. The store is scheduled for opening in the fall.
