Conway Commercial, a division of Jack Conway & Co. brokered the sale of a building to CJMPK, LLC and Leo Keka, who will move his restaurant Alba, across the street to the new site in the spring.
The 10,000 s/f building, located at 1486 Hancock St., sold for $1.4 million. Keka is in the process of renovating the building including the roof-top deck.
Paul Durgin, VP of Conway, represented the owner of the building, the Chin family, and procured the buyer. Assisting in the transaction was Joseph Chan of Conway-Quincy.
"It's a Quincy landmark. It's exciting to see what the new owner is doing, and the finished product should be a great asset to the community," said Durgin.
Built in 1918 for $40,000, this granite building was originally constructed and occupied by the Quincy Trust Co. The bank left the property in the 1980s, and has been home to retail and restaurant operations.
