Avison Young has brokered a $2.18 million land sale of 6.3 acres at 221 Baker Ave. Avison Young brokers Steve Cook, Mark Coelho and Jack Kerrigan represented the seller, Concord Elks. The transaction closed in February.
The buyer, New Life Community Church, was started in 1986 as a non-denominational, evangelical community of believers. New Life intends to build a multi-purpose facility to serve the ministries of the church.
221 Baker Ave. is a 6.3 acres parcel of commercial land located next to the Concord Tpke.
"221 Baker Ave. has been a milestone location in Concord for decades. We are delighted New Life Church has such a wonderful new home in such a prominent location. No question, this acquisition is a 'win-win' for New Life Church and The Elks Lodge" said Kerrigan.
"The Avison Young team was able to secure a qualified buyer under some very unique seller requirements," said Jamie Dexter of The Elks Lodge. "We are delighted with the end result, especially considering our long history with the site and our desire to find a compatible buyer that fits well within the community of the Town of Concord," said Peter Hennessy also a member of The Elks Lodge and spokesperson for the Lodge together with Jamie Dexter.
