Jewett Construction Co., Inc., recently received a 2012 Master Builder Award from Oklahoma-based Star Building Systems. This design-based award was given in the "Best Shopping Center" category for the 4,000 s/f Jewett Square retail mall located on Rte. 27. Jewett Square is constructed of a pre-engineered Star metal building with StarShield metal roofing. Erected by Jewett's metal buildings & steel erectors division, it features a block and stucco façade. The job also involved the initial demolition of existing buildings and related site work.
