The chapter was recently recognized at the SIOR Spring World Conference held in Las Vegas, with Excellence in 2013 Community Outreach, for hosting the best charity and fund raising program during the past year. Chapter president, Bruce Wettenstein and vice president, Frank Hird were pleased to accept the award on behalf of the chapter. The award was in recognition for a charity concert held in June 2013 at the Fairfield Theater Company, which raised just under $17,000 and directly benefited Habitat for Humanity's "Habitat for Heroes" program.
