Avison Young has brokered 12,972 s/f of lab/office space at 735-737 Concord Ave. on behalf of Spinelli Commercial Properties. Nano Terra has relocated to the space from 50 Soldiers Field Place in Brighton.
Avison Young principal Jack Kerrigan, along with Colin Whitney, an associate in the Boston office, represented the landlord, Spinelli Commercial Properties. Cushman & Wakefield represented Nano Terra in the transaction.
"735-737 Concord Ave. provides an excellent real estate solution for Nano Terra, a rapidly growing company that wanted to be in the West Cambridge market," said Kerrigan. "As a knowledgeable and hands-on owner, Rachele Depamphilis, CEO of Spinelli Commercial Properties, was a key player in bringing this deal to completion."
"The Alewife submarket is unique in that it offers multiple public transportation options with convenient access to suburban labor pools, as well as lower occupancy costs than in nearby Kendall Square," said Brendan Carroll, vice president of research at Avison Young. "A 10-year median vacancy rate of 7.4% showcases the value tenants place on this location."
Located in West Cambridge, 735-737 Concord Ave. sits just six miles from Downtown Boston and 25 minutes from Logan International Airport. Constructed as a single-story lab space, the building provides two four-foot and two six-foot fume hoods, a water-purification system, and a waste-treatment system. Additionally, tenants of the building have access to an abundance of nearby amenities, including the Fresh Pond Shopping Center, diverse restaurants, and public transportation.
