Developer National Development in partnership with EPOCH Senior Living have begun construction on a memory care community called Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee. The building, located on a 19-acre site at the intersection of Old Barnstable Rd. and Rte. 151, will open in summer 2015.
Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee was designed by architectural firm JSA Inc. and the general contractor is Cranshaw Construction
Bridges by EPOCH at Mashpee will include 54 apartments, including six affordable apartments. As memory impairment can affect the senses, the community is designed with extensive natural light and a secure, non-confining floor plan.
EPOCH Senior Living currently operates two stand-alone memory care communities in Massachusetts - Bridges by EPOCH at Hingham and Bridges by EPOCH at Westford.
"Our first two memory care communities in Hingham and Westford quickly proved to us that we have a successful formula for caring for individuals with memory impairment," Gerber said. "With our specially-trained, passionate staff and stimulating programs, we have built great relationships with our current residents and their families.
