Diversified Project Management (DPM), a Hartford, Connecticut owner's representative firm, has provided comprehensive relocation management services for the Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School. DPM managed the procurement of the school's new furniture, fixtures and equipment, and provided exclusive relocation management services to the district, through a consultancy agreement with the project's architect, The S/L/A/M Collaborative.
Harvard Ellis, the first technical school in Connecticut to have its own building, recently underwent a 4-phased, 30,000 s/f construction and renovation project, which included new classrooms, media center, gymnasium and culinary arts center. DPM was retained to provide full move management services including the procurement, receipt and installation of the FF&E.
Directed by DPM project executive, Robert Reihl, senior project planners Janet Wheeler and Rick Davidow regularly worked with a series of State of Connecticut agencies, vendors, consultants and school faculty, to order, schedule and oversee the installation of shop equipment and classroom furnishings and facilitating the delivery of all equipment for the newly renovated space, which was completed in time for the fall semester.
