The Connecticut/Western Massachusetts chapter of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, along with its counterpart Downstate New York and New Jersey chapters, held the second annual TriState SIOR conference in New York City.
The day long event was held at the Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Place in Manhattan. Over 140 registered SIOR brokers and invited guests were treated to a day of exceptional speakers and panels covering a variety of subjects pertinent to commercial real estate practitioners in the Tri State area. Attendees came from as far as Oklahoma, Maryland and Washington, D.C.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch was the lead sponsor for the event for the second year running. Jonathan Garrity, president of New Canaan, Conn.-based Cambridge Hanover, was a sponsor of the event and a participant on the industrial panel. Community Investment Corporation - the leading SBA lender, was also a contributing sponsor of the event and was represented on the industrial panel by their vice president, Gary Toole.
After a full day of informative panels and speakers the event concluded with a cocktail party held at a nearby Manhattan restaurant.
The SIOR Connecticut/Western Massachusetts, N.J. and NYC/Downstate chapters were recently recognized for Excellence in Chapter Programming for the best or most creative new program for the first SIOR Tri-State Conference held in 2014. The original event drew over 120 participants from across the region.
