JJManning Auctioneers completed sale at auction of the Bass River Marina located at 138, 140-160 Main St./Rte. 28 for $6.1 million. The Bass River Marina complex is a well established marine service center set on 6.3 acres, with frontage on Horse Foot Cove and access to Nantucket Sound. Over 70 onlookers gathered onsite to watch 7 registered bidders compete on auction day. The bidders included marina owner/operators, investors, and developers each with $200,000 in certified deposit funds in hand. On behalf of an ownership that had recently reclaimed possession and wished to sell the property quickly in a contingency-free format initiated on their preferred timeline, firm president and auctioneer, Justin Manning opened the bidding at $4 million and ended with a final price of $6.1 million.
