Thomas Flatley, 76, died on May 17th from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
Flatley started in real estate in 1958. He developed commercial properties in the suburbs of Boston and was ranked #162 on Forbes 400 richest people in 2002.
According to The Flatley Co.'s website, "the firm has developed, owned and managed over 10,000 apartment units, 6 health care centers, 18 hotels, 14 retail centers and 7 million s/f of office/industrial space. These efforts were spread across 7 states, 56 cities and consisted overall of approximately 24 million s/f ."
