Newton, MA Bowdoin Construction recently completed the conversion of a 40,000 s/f office building into a new special needs facility for The Barry L. Price Rehabilitation Center. The Price Center celebrated their official ribbon cutting ceremony on October 1, 2015, and the event was attended by mayor Setti Warren, as well as other local city officials, and members of the Newton/Needham Chamber of Commerce.
The new facility, constructed by Bowdoin and designed by WK Architects, includes program rooms, a therapy area, two dining rooms, an open activity area, staff room, nurses’ office, administrative offices, laundry room, storage spaces, mechanical rooms, and multiple bathrooms. Finishes include impact resistant drywall, carpet, vinyl plank faux wood flooring, ceramic tile, and stone countertops. The project also required the installation of a new two-stop elevator.
