Boston, MA Structure Tone has hired Alison Smith as senior writer/media relations manager. Smith joins Structure Tone’s corporate marketing team.

Helping people get their messages across – in a clear and interesting way – is what Alison Smith does best. For nearly 15 years, Smith has been helping building industry professionals translate their stories into easy-to-understand language, whether that’s internal messages to staff, marketing materials and website text, or technical articles for industry journals.

Based in the Boston office, Alison joins Structure Tone’s corporate marketing team as a senior writer and media relations manager. She spent the last 11 years at Stantec, where she led the global firm’s public relations and communications efforts in the U.S. northeast, a region of over 1,200 employees and 10 offices. She is focused on similar initiatives at Structure Tone, working to tell the organization’s stories and share the insights of our experts on industry issues.

Smith has a BA in English from Greensboro College in North Carolina and a master’s in composition from Northeastern University in Boston.
