Boston, MA Nitsch Engineering said that chairman and CEO Lisa Brothers, PE, LEED AP BD+C, and director of marketing Laurie Strickland, FSMPS, CPSM, have received 2016 Brava Awards in recognition of their leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.
Run by SmartCEO, the Brava Awards program celebrates high-impact female business leaders in three categories: CEOs, executive directors of nonprofits, and C-suite executives. Brothers received a CEO Award, while Strickland received an Executives Award.
Brava Award winners are selected by an independent committee of local business leaders based on company growth, community impact, and mentoring. Upon receiving the award, Brothers said, “Since our founding in 1989, Nitsch Engineering has been committed to building better communities by collaborating with our clients to improve infrastructure and the environment, working with our employees to build an excellent place to work, and supporting a number of charitable initiatives that make our world better. This commitment has directly resulted in the company’s continuous growth, including the opening of new offices, and I’m so honored that SmartCEO has recognized this achievement!”
Strickland said, “During my career, I’ve been dedicated to enabling professional development and providing mentorship for the teams I work with. Since joining Nitsch Engineering six years ago, I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to apply my strategic marketing knowledge to help grow the company, and to help the staff here improve their skills. I’m excited that SmartCEO is recognizing these contributions, and feel honored to have been selected for a Brava Award!”
