Lynnfield, MA JM Electrical Company, Inc. has completed project operations at the Ashburnham Westminster Regional School District. The system was done under a performance contract with New England Trane.
JM Electrical installed the power and controls for the HVAC equipment, provided by Trane , for two schools in the district—Oakmont High School and Overlook Middle School—in order to achieve energy savings for the buildings. The company’s electricians worked to ensure the project was completed on time and on budget. JM began work on the schools in June 2016, and they are now fully operational.
The Ashburnham Westminster school district has a mission to prepare its students as contributing citizens for local and global societies in an ever-changing world. Oakmont Regional High School and Overlook Middle School, due to the new HVAC power and controls installed by JM Electrical, will now operate in a more energy efficient manner and, in turn, experience minimized energy costs.
“We were pleased to work with the Ashburnham Westminster school system in upgrading their HVAC controls,” said John Guarracino, project manager at JM Electrical. “We are always happy to provide school systems with the tools they need to operate more efficiently and create a more comfortable learning environment for both the students and teachers.”
“With no capital outlay by the district, the team delivered over $4 million in needed facility upgrades including a new roof, HVAC equipment, a biomass boiler fueled by wood pellets and a state of the art building automation system. In addition, Trane guarantees energy savings exceeding $5 million over the 20 year term enabled by M.G.L. CH25a, 11i, which will be used by the district to pay for the project,” said Chris Marshall, general manager of energy services at New England Trane. “We were able to accomplish these goals with ease working with the veteran team at JM Electrical.”
