What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2017? The training initiatives that NECA has implemented in such important areas of electrical construction as Building Information Modeling (BIM), prefabrication, advanced project management and Advanced Foreman Training, as well as ongoing safety training programs, continue to expand the knowledge of our contractors. These programs enhance NECA contractors' capabilities in providing excellence and efficiency in electrical construction services to many of the most complex projects in Greater Boston and throughout New England.

What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2018? The future looks bright for New England's electrical construction industry.  There will continue to be an influx of major projects in the Seaport, North Station, the South End, and throughout Greater Boston, Cambridge and beyond. Plus, major infrastructure, utility and renewable energy projects will be ongoing throughout the region. Also, Wynn Boston Harbor, the largest private development project ever in Massachusetts, will have a host of NECA Boston contractors with skilled IBEW Local 103 electricians and technicians handling all aspects of the project.
